Frank J. Muhl was instrumental in the promotion of Youth Soccer here in Wadsworth. A man that played the game regularly and always had a smile on his face. The relationship between playing the game and his happiness is likely no coincidence. The challenge, exercise and interaction with others keep a player young at heart and sound in mind. His belief that money should not preclude a child from playing soccer has become a fundamental principle of WASA. His generosity formed the WASA financial hardship fund, which is kept alive by the on going donations from other WASA parents like Frank.
The WASA annual Labor Day Tournament has been played for over twenty-five years. About 10 years ago, WASA changed the name to the Frank J. Muhl Memorial Tournament to honor him and remind us all what Youth Soccer should be about. We ask that everyone participating in the tournament respect this dedication and strive to be a positive influence on the people around you just as Frank would have been. Please support all players, coaches and referees.
Thank you for your patronage and I hope you, the teams, and all our players and their families truly have a great experience at the Frank J. Muhl Memorial Tournament from Wadsworth, Ohio.
